We are a fellowship of compulsive eaters who have recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body by living the principles outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). To show others precisely how we have recovered is the main purpose of our fellowship.

Am I a chronic compulsive eater?
You eat when you are hungry and stop when full.
Eat foods that you like and help you feel energetic and happy.
Sometimes you eat more than normal — but you don’t worry about it.
Sometimes you eat less than normal, and also don’t worry about it.
You can eat something or leave it alone.
Missing a meal isn’t a big deal.
You eat even if you’re not hungry.
You stuff yourself so much, it hurts.
You often eat food that doesn’t make you feel good or isn’t good for you.
You eat for emotional reasons — to calm down, to entertain yourself.
You are ashamed of your eating.
You try again and again to stop, but keep doing the same thing.
Diet plans. Food journaling. Weighing and measuring. Abstaining from foods or ingredients.
Intermittent fasting. Exercise plans. Accountability buddies.
Fat loss surgery. Laxatives. Purging food. Weight loss drugs. Hypnosis…
…and so on.
Nothing worked.
What is CCEA?
CCEA is a fellowship of chronic compulsive eaters. We are not affiliated with any other organization or religion; we do not engage with issues other than helping other compulsive eaters to recover.
How can you join? Our Tradition Three states that the only requirement for CCEA membership is a desire to stop eating compulsively. Helping compulsive eaters is a part of our recovery, and therefore free of charge. To cover our expenses, our members support CCEA through voluntary contributions.
